Game Pass Tier List

At launch the store had three game passes. None of them unlock the mermaid form. If a chat host says otherwise, they are selling panic. This ranking is about Robux efficiency after you can already transform and work a job.

A — x2 Money (300 Robux) — with a condition

Permanent double earnings from jobs, activities, and rewards. Cannot be bought with in-game currency. Does not apply to Coin Codes.

Buy it if you like Rikki’s / Lifeguard / fishing rewards and you will still be here next week. Skip it if you only wanted a tail for photos. Skip it if you are waiting for the 5,000-like code and think the pass will double that drop — it will not.

This is the only pass that changes the economy. That is why it can be A. It is not S because the mermaid game is playable without it and because 300 Robux is still 300 Robux.

B — VIP (699 Robux)

Overhead VIP tag, VIP clothing/accessories, colourful chat tag. Permanent. Can also be purchased with in-game currency according to the pass text.

VIP is a loudness pass. If you want to be seen in a 20-player RP, it works. If you want coins, it does nothing. Try farming the closet with job coins before you hit 699. The tag itself is the part coins may not copy — that is the only reason VIP is not C.

Details on how the tag feels in-world sit on the VIP page.

B — Pearl Luxury Outfit (300 Robux)

Pearl outfit, matching heels, pearl necklace. “Fit for a true mermaid princess.” Available with in-game currency.

This is a fashion SKU, not a power. Rank B if you love the look and hate grinding. Rank C as a “must buy.” Farm it from jobs unless you are collecting. Heels will not follow you into a tail anyway — read customization.

F — Fake passes

There is no “Unlock Mako,” “Unlock Fire,” or “Skip Fish Badge” pass. If an executor hub or a YouTube description lists them, it is for another game. Confirm IDs on the official store: VIP 1964820531, x2 Money 1962402909, Pearl Luxury 1962534985.

Buy order if you insist on spending

  1. Nothing. Play an hour. Use the beginner guide.
  2. x2 Money only if you enjoyed a full shift.
  3. Pearl or VIP with coins first.
  4. VIP with Robux only for the tag.

Use the job planner to see how many Rikki’s blocks equal 300 Robux of value. If the number makes you tired, the pass is allowed. If the number is “two evenings,” farm it.

Codes remain worth claiming even with x2 Money equipped, because they do not multiply — they just add. Keep the codes hub bookmarked.

Worked examples

You play three nights a week for photos. Buy nothing. Farm Pearl with coins if you like the dress. Skip VIP. Skip x2 Money. Your bottleneck is lighting on the Gold Coast, not income.

You want Caught all fish. x2 Money is the only pass that might shorten the coin side of that grind. It will not bite for you. Combine it with the fishing guide or skip the pass and accept that the badge is rare.

You host RP. VIP tag is the product. Farm it. Do not also buy x2 Money unless you are stocking outfits for the whole friend group.

You just spawned. Close the store. Open Getting Started. The mermaid is free. The beach is free. Robux is a later conversation with the job planner.

If a fourth pass appears, we will add a row with the same three questions: does it change the morph, the wage, or the closet? Only the wage is A-tier by default.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best game pass in Mermaid Awakening?

x2 Money, and only if you will keep working jobs. It is the only income multiplier. It does not buff Coin Codes.

Can I buy VIP with coins?

The pass description says it can also be purchased with in-game currency. x2 Money cannot.

Does any pass unlock mermaid form?

No. Transformation is free. Passes are tag, income, or pearl cosmetics.

Is Pearl Luxury worth 300 Robux?

Only if you want that exact outfit now. It is also listed for in-game currency, so farming is the default advice.
