Mermaid Awakening launched on Roblox at the end of August 2026 with a public coin-code system already wired into the economy. That matters: the x2 Money game pass explicitly does not multiply Coin Codes, which means a future drop is one of the few ways to get a clean coin spike without paying Robux.
As of this writing, no public working code string is live. The official description on the experience page is unambiguous: join the Mermaid Awakening group, help the game reach 5,000 likes, and a new coin code will be released for everyone. The like count sat at 4,884 (267 downvotes) on 5 September 2026, so the drop is a near-term event, not a rumour.

Why codes are the first search after launch
New Roblox roleplays burn players on cosmetics in the first hour. Mermaid Awakening sells a Pearl Luxury Outfit that can also be bought with in-game currency, VIP clothing that can be bought with coins, and a Fish Shop loop that wants you on the water. Coins are the bottleneck. A single well-timed code can pay for a land outfit before you clock a full Lifeguard or Rikki’s shift.
Codes are also the only listed reward that bypasses the x2 Money pass. If you plan to buy that pass later, still redeem codes — they are additive, not multiplied, and they disappear.

How we verify a code
- The string appears on the official Roblox description, group wall, Discord, TikTok @mermaidawakening, or @MermaidRblx.
- We record the reward (coins versus a cosmetic) and whether x2 Money is excluded.
- We mark expiry as soon as redeem attempts start failing, even if the social post is still up.
If a YouTube thumbnail or a Discord bot dumps a list of ten “working codes” the same day as launch, treat it as spam until it matches an official channel. Launch week is when impersonation lists spread fastest.
What to do while you wait
