Launch rankings for jobs, elemental powers, and the three live game passes.
Mermaid Awakening does not have a ranked ladder. A tier list still helps because launch week is when people waste 699 Robux on a tag they did not need, or skip the waitress job that actually prints coins. Rankings here are for utility on the Gold Coast in the first weeks after release, not for an esports patch.
Criteria:
- S — changes how you play every session.
- A — strong if you like that loop.
- B — flavour, fashion, or late luxury.
- C — skip until you have coins and a mermaid toggle.
Split lists live on child pages so we can argue about powers, jobs, and game passes without mixing a fire VFX with a cafe ticket.

Lifeguard is A because it is quieter and on the hero art. Fishing is A for completionists chasing the 0.2% badge and C for everyone else as a wage. Fire and ice are A for screenshots, B for daily play. VIP is B. Pearl Luxury is B. x2 Money is A only after you have timed a real shift.
How this will move
The game launched with expected bugs and a like-goal coin code still pending. A hotfix that adds a better job, a power quest, or a fourth pass will reshuffle these tables. We will date changes in updates. Until then, do not treat a TikTok “S-tier tail” as data — tails are customization, not a gacha stat stick.
Read the beginner guide before you open the Robux prompt. The tier list is a spending filter, not a substitute for learning the morph.
Ranks will look meaner than they are. A B-tier pass can still be the right buy if you love the pearl dress. An S-tier job can still be the wrong session if you logged in to swim. Use the letter as a default, then break it on purpose.
